Who God Is
Explicação do capítulo
Everything starts here: there is a God, and He is not a distant energy or a nice idea. The Bible opens by saying He created the heavens and the earth; what exists, exists because He wanted it to. And the most surprising part: this God is a Person. He speaks, feels, decides, loves. You can know Him, not just know about Him. The Bible uses two words that seem like opposites to describe Him: holy and love. Holy means He is perfect and unlike anything else; He doesn't fail, doesn't lie, doesn't change character. Love means He comes close, cares and forgives. Many people grow up picturing God only one way: either an angry judge with a pointed finger, or a grandpa who accepts everything. The Bible shows both sides in the same God, and that is what makes the story of the gospel so stunning. If He wanted to stay hidden, no one would find Him. But He showed Himself: in creation, which points to a Creator; in the Bible, where He speaks; and above all in Jesus, who is God in human form.

Explicação dos versículos
Genesis 1:1
"In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth."
The Bible does not try to prove God exists: it starts by assuming it. And it gives Him first place: before everything, He was already there. You are not an accident in a universe with no owner.
1 John 4:16
"God is love."
Notice it does not say "God has love": it says He IS love. Loving is not something God does now and then; it is who He is all the time, including when you don't feel it.
Jeremiah 29:13
"You will seek Me and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart."
God does not hide from anyone who truly seeks Him. The promise is not for those who understand everything; it is for those who seek sincerely. That is why you are reading this today.
